What is XenApp – Part II

In What is XenApp – Part I I did a very high level overview of what XenApp is. In this article I intend to delve deeper into XenApp and some of it’s main features. I will start by describing all the components and how they fit together and then how to users interact with each component.

Components
Farm
The most basic component of any XenApp environment is the Farm. A Farm is just a collection of objects and settings which are held in a the Data Store. The types of objects that are held in the Farm are Zones, Servers, Administrators, Applications, Load Balancers, Policies (if not using GPO)
