Meritum Achieve Microsoft Gold Security Partnership

To add to the recent announcement of Meritum Cloud achieving Cyber Essentials Plus I am happy to announce that we have recently been awarded Gold Partnership in Security by Microsoft. This is on top of the large number of Gold and Silver partnerships we have already been awarded.

Security is an extremely hot topic at the moment. More and more businesses are moving data to the cloud and the individuals accessing the data are ever more distributed on an array on devices, both managed and unmanaged.

At Meritum Cloud, a large proportion of projects that we are now executing for our customers are either solely security based or contain a large focus on security. Intune Mobile Device Management (MDM) and Mobile Application Management (MAM), Azure Information Protection (AIP), and Data Loss Prevention (DLP) are cornerstone technologies in delivering data and endpoint security for our customers.

Many businesses already have these extremely powerful weapons in their arsenal but have yet to deploy or configure them. Microsoft 365 Business Premium or Enterprise plans include a lot of the features required to make an organisation robust against malicious attack or accidental data loss.

Microsoft started the partner program back in 2000 to give businesses, dedicated to the Microsoft ethos, the chance to prove their knowledge and understanding of Microsoft products and ecosystems. The Service Partner option of the Security Competency is designed to identify security partners (targeting Cybersecurity), to provide their differentiation through the security badge, and connect them to customers who require these solutions.

To achieve Gold Security, Microsoft partners must have customers totalling 4000 Microsoft Intune, Azure Information Protection or Azure Active Directory Premium Monthly Active Users (MAU) in the past 12 months. On top of this partners must have 4 individuals pass the MS-500: Microsoft 365 Security Administration exam and 4 individuals pass the AZ-500: Microsoft Azure Security Technologies exam.

I am very proud that Meritum Cloud has achieved the Microsoft Gold Security competency on top of the existing gold and silvery badges we already hold.
